Senior Full-Stack Engineer

We're looking for a senior engineer who is equally comfortable in a React component and a database schema. You'll work directly with clients and own features end-to-end — from design review to production deployment.

About the role

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at stackloader, you'll be embedded in small, high-trust project teams. You'll work closely with clients, participate in architecture decisions, and own features end-to-end — from the first whiteboard sketch to the post-launch monitoring runbook.

We work primarily in Next.js, Node.js, and Python on the backend, with PostgreSQL and Redis as our default data layer. AI integration is a growing part of every engagement.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and ship production features across the full stack
• Participate in client discovery sessions and technical architecture workshops
• Conduct and receive code reviews with a focus on quality and mentorship
• Write documentation and runbooks that clients can maintain after handoff
• Contribute to our internal tooling and engineering practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Deep expertise in React and at least one server-side language (Node.js, Python, or Go)
• Production experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design
• Comfort with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong written communication — you'll be writing specs, docs, and async updates for clients
• Experience working in small, cross-functional teams without heavy process overhead

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js App Router and React Server Components
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) or RAG architectures
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Prior agency or consulting experience
